S-PAC Planning Guide

Select an S-PAC Date

When selecting an S-PAC date it is important to avoid the obstacles of the students’ schedule.  For your own sanity and to ensure a large audience, avoid scheduling your S-PAC near holidays, midterms and final exams.  Schedule the event far enough into the school term to give yourself enough time to advertise and sell tickets once the students have returned to school.

Generate a preliminary S-PAC agenda

Create a preliminary S-PAC agenda in order to determine the format of your conference.  What time of day will you have the S-PAC?  Will you serve a meal?  How many topics do you wish to address?  Will you have a panel discussion after the speakers make their presentations?

Examples of Successful S-PAC Agendas

Select an S-PAC location

When selecting and reserving a location for your conference, consider the type of meal you plan to serve, your budget, and your audio/visual needs.
