Purpose

The mission of the IEEE-USA Emerging Technology Directions Committee is to anticipate and identify career, professional and policy issues arising from new and emerging technologies in IEEE’s technical fields of interest in order to assist IEEE-USA in developing appropriate organizational responses and to support IEEE’s engagement with those new technology areas.

The Committee serves as a point of liaison and collaboration with the IEEE New Technology Directions Committee in order to strengthen our relationships to IEEE technical activities and help identify opportunities for conferences and other collaborations that will help diversify IEEE-USA’s revenue sources.
