The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers –United States of America (IEEE-USA) is pleased to nominate Michael J. Rozen, MD, Vice Chair of the IEEE-USA Medical Technology Policy Committee for appointment to the Federal Trade Commission Advisory Committee on Online Access and Security. Dr. Rozen is currently Vice President of Consumer Affairs and Director of Health Record Security for WellMed, Inc., one of the leading companies in the consumer health personalization and health record maintenance. He is also a member of the advisory board of The Medical Records Institute and the Advisory Board of Murray Hill, an Internet content company. In addition, Dr. Rozen is a member of the Hi-Ethics Online Workgroup and is active in the ASTM Committee E31 on Healthcare Informatics proposed new ASTM standards development activity on consumer health records. He has spoken and authored on the subjects of Privacy Security and Confidentiality of Consumer Health Information and Personalization of Consumer Health. His background as a practicing physician combined with his knowledge of consumer personalization and the Internet health space make his perspectives unique and valuable. We at IEEE-USA would appreciate your appointment of Michael J. Rozen, MD to this important committee of the Federal Trade Commission.
