Nominations Being Sought: WASHINGTON (26 July 2001) - The IEEE-USA Awards and Recognition Committee is still seeking nominations for its 2001 awards. These prestigious awards are presented in recognition of professional, technical and literary contributions to public awareness and understanding of the engineering profession in the United States. The nomination deadline is next Wednesday, 1 August, 2001. So if you know or work with someone whose efforts on behalf of the profession or the IEEE merit recognition at the national level, now's the time to nominate your colleagues or even yourself.
