About
the Speaker
Angela Harris, M.S.H.R, began her 15
year career in human resources with a
boutique recruiting firm in Milwaukee,
and she later took a position with
Manpower International, where she
further developed her expertise in human
resources and management consulting. She
has recruited for a myriad of Fortune
500 companies, including the Eastman
Kodak Company, Manpower, IBM, M&I, and
BankOne (now Chase) across many
disciplines. Ms. Harris currently works
for ASQ (the American Society for
Quality at
www.asq.org) where she works on the
development of ISO Standards. In
addition to her full-time position at
ASQ, Ms. Harris owns a human resource
consulting firm, ASHconsulting, where
she provides career counseling to
individuals.
Ms.
Harris holds a MS in Human Resources
from Marquette University and Bachelor
of Arts degrees in both Political
Science and English from the University
of Wisconsin-Madison. She has received
several certifications, most recently
becoming a Certified Manager of Quality
and Organizational Excellence from ASQ.
Ms.
Harris developed and was the Executive
Director of Milwaukee JobCamps 1, 2, & 3
(www.milwaukeejobcamp.org)
serving over 5000 job seekers in the
Milwaukee market in 2009-10. She holds a
seat on the Board of Directors for the
Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare Foundation
and sits on a Society of Human Resource
Managers (www.shrm.org)
Task Force for Metrics and Measures. Ms.
Harris is also an examiner for the
Wisconsin Forward Award, where she uses
the Baldrige criteria to evaluate and
improve Wisconsin-based businesses.
