After you enter the Village:

Preview the Village (No additional action required).
Most information will be available to you, but specific
portions are hidden. You will not be able to post
information in any of the tools.

Login using your username and password if you are
already a member. All members’ tools will be available
to you and you will be able to post data, messages, etc.

Join to become a member of the Village using an IEEE Web
Account
The Village is interactive and is populated with useful
resources, available using the Village’s tools:

What’s New – Review new postings, including any
Notes from Members or the Moderators

Mentor’s Data Base - Research the mentors’
database to find a suitable volunteer mentor to be a
sounding board. Some mentors are volunteers whereas
others charge a fee.

Forums - Post questions or discussion items
through one of the many topical Member Forums.

Resources - Find useful articles, books, web
links and valuable IEEE and IEEE-USA resources.
-
Chat Room – Interact with other entrepreneurs and
mentors in real time in our private and public chat
rooms.

Files – Upload files that can be referenced as
“Related Material” in most tools.

Images - Upload Image files that can be
referenced as “Related Material” in most tools.

Calendar – Find or post events that deal with
entrepreneurs’ activities.

Polls – Respond and see the results of polls, or
submit proposals for polls.

IEEE-USA Store – Access IEEE-USA’s on line store
filled with professional development and career
resources. Items including publications, etc.

IEEE-USA Salary Service – The IEEE-USA Salary
Service offers annual subscribers next-generation tools
for accurately benchmarking technical professionals'
compensation individually or organization-wide. The
Service combines the power of online relational
databases, sophisticated regression modeling, and data
extracted from IEEE-USA's renowned Salary and Fringe
Benefits Survey.

Other Services – Periodically, other services
such as webinars, podcasts, and conferences will be
scheduled and posted on the calendar or available at the
IEEE-USA Store.

Cautions:
The
Village is a public place, accessible to IEEE members and
others. Be mindful that your postings and uploads will reach
many people and that, while what you may post, or upload is
not sanctioned, or approved by IEEE, IEEE-USA or the EAC
committee, your contribution should be focused on useful,
constructive information that will be of interest to
entrepreneurs starting or running technology-based
companies. Additionally, if you upload more than an abstract
or summary of a copyrighted article, book, graphic, software
listing, etc. be aware that you may require the author’s
permission in order not to personally violate Copyright
laws.
