Overview:
The job market in 2009 can be
frustrating and confusing to job
seekers. The unemployment rate for U.S.
electrical and electronics engineers hit
a new record in the second quarter,
while the unemployment rate for all
engineers increased for a second
straight quarter, according to data
released by the Department of Labor's
Bureau of Labor Statistics. Elizabeth
Lions solves the mystery in this
IEEE-USA webinar, Why Aren't I Hired Yet
by examining market data and the latest
hiring trends during this challenging
economy. This presentation is an
in-depth follow up to her article
published in the September issue of
Today's Engineer.
Elizabeth will discuss:
How to get response after you've applied
online
How to get your resume on the right
manager's desk
How to effectively use social networking
to increase your job search odds
How to keep a job search in balanced
with your life
