1999 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCECOMPANION PROGRAMFour 2-hour tutorials will be offered for companions accompanying conference participants. The registration fee for each tutorial is $15. Conference participants also will receive one complimentary ticket to the Friday evening reception for a registered companion. Additional tickets may be purchased for the reception, and individual tickets may be purchased for all meals. Following the Friday reception, a guest orientation will be presented, and on Saturday morning companions are invited to have breakfast along with their hosts. or on the street. This seminar will provide hands-on practice to help you resist the
initial attack, retaliate to immobilize your attacker, and run to safety. Women of the Wild West Adventure stories about the West usually feature rough-ridin', sharp-shootin',
cattle-drivin' cowboys. However, plenty of women moved westward as well. This seminar will
feature fascinating stories about how these women dealt with the hardships and dangers of
living in the new West. Featured will be tales of wagon-trail mothers, cowgirls, women of
easy virtue, and abolition fighters. Belly Dancing for Fun and Fitness Belly dancing tones muscles, improves posture, and increases stamina. This introductory
class will illustrate how Turkish dancers strut and Egyptian dancers glide. Come to learn
and to practice some basic dance steps and poses that will improve your coordination,
flexibility and grace. Southwestern Cooking Class/Tasting Come sample some delicious recipes that originated in the Southwest as you learn
