Common Questions or Problems

  • How can I improve my search results?
    1. Use the Advanced Search or Consultant Finder Search forms to submit your search.
    2. Put a small number of essential terms in the required fields to eliminate listings without them. All required terms must be present for a listing to be found.
    3. Put key phrases in "" to elevate the ranking of listings containing them.
  • How is the ranking calculated?
    1. The search terms are split into phrases using "" and , to indicate the boundary of a phrase.
    2. The search terms are divided into groups of one, two, and three words in the order they are entered. Common words such as "and", "a", etc., are ignored.
    3. Each occurrence of a case-sensitive exact match receives four points.
    4. Each occurrence of a case-insensitive partial-word match receives one point.
    5. Each occurrence of a phrase or word in that was in "" in the search terms receives three times the points.
