Giving Opportunities

IEEE-USA is an organizational unit of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. created in 1973 to support the careers and public policy interests of IEEE's U.S. members. Our programs are supported through a special assessment of IEEE’s U.S. members, through sales of products and services, and through the generosity of members and others who make gifts and contributions.

IEEE-USA is currently seeking gifts and contributions to four Funds administered through the IEEE Foundation:

IEEE-USA Fund: The IEEE-USA Fund is a repository for unrestricted gifts to support the career and educational missions of IEEE-USA. Examples of where contributions have been used include:

IEEE-USA Government Fellows Fund: Gifts help support and sustain IEEE-USA's Government Fellowship program, which provides opportunities for IEEE U.S. members to spend a year working in Congress or in the State Department as S&T advisors.

IEEE-USA National Engineers Week Fund: Gifts are targeted at supporting IEEE-USA's lead society sponsorship of National Engineers Week in 2014 and continuing EWeek activities. EWeek is an annual celebration of engineers and the contributions of engineering to society.

IEEE-USA Awards Fund: IEEE-USA solicits contributions for support of the annual IEEE-USA Awards and Recognitions, which recognize professional leadership, public service, technical achievement and literary/journalistic contributions to the advancement of engineering. IEEE-USA also welcomes inquires related to targeted funding support for specific IEEE-USA Awards and Recognitions.

You can make donations on-line. Or to hold a personal and confidential discussion of giving opportunities, please contact the IEEE Development Office by telephone at +1 732 562-3915 or by email to supportieee@ieee.org.
